VIDEO: Folding banknotes like a mouse
How to fold the bills
With these folding instructions, even inexperienced people can fold banknotes into a mouse. These instructions are carried out with a 10 euro note. If you want to fold a different bank note, note that the notes differ slightly in size and thus also in their aspect ratio.
- Halve the bill. First, place your 10-euro note with the narrow side that folds in front of you. Fold the top half down so that there is a fold line in the middle.
- Drive in corners. The banknote is now folded further on the upper side. Fold in the two corners until just before the center line. However, the corners should not touch, otherwise the further folding steps cause problems. Be sure to fold it correctly.
- Fix corners. Bring the two sides to the middle again and glue the resulting "triangle" with removable glue, photo corners or something similar.
- Fold in the middle. Now cut the folded bill in half, that is, you flip the right side to the left. You should already recognize the shape of the torso or a mouse.
- Fix with glue. At the back, the corners can be knocked in a little to create a neat finish. Fixing with glue is certainly an option here.
- Shape the tail. For the design of the mouse tail, you could use a piece of wool in a matching color.
- Attach mouse ears. Remnants of construction paper are ideal for cutting out mouse ears of any size and sticking them onto the body of money.
- Glue on googly eyes. Finally, two smaller wiggle eyes per mouse are fixed with a little sticky clay. The money mouse is ready. Doesn't she look cute? Now all you have to do is place the folded money mice on your gift.

Gift ideas with the mouse
You do not necessarily have to hand over the entire sum you want to give in the form of folded mice. It is advisable, for example, to add the folded banknote to the actual gift only as a little extra. The money can decorate a lovingly packed parcel or a beautiful greeting card.
The banknotes can also be part of an original gift. For example, if the recipient likes cheese, you can give a piece of good cheese together with several money mice. A mousetrap ensures a little laugh. Alternatively, you can also make a small enclosure for the money mice so that the money gift does not appear unimaginative.
