Favorite tweets on Twitter - this is how it works
Twitter is used by private individuals as well as by companies and institutions. You can share your thoughts and photos with others in this form of the online diary. You can favor particularly interesting tweets.
What you can do on Twitter
- After you have successfully registered with Twitter you can send messages with a maximum of 140 characters - so-called tweets. These contain short text messages, photos and links that can be shortened with special programs.
- In your personal timeline, you can find out in real time what news the users you follow (following) are tweeting. Your followers (news subscribers) will also see your tweets immediately. Follow Twitter accounts that interest you (news agencies, museums, job portals, etc.).
- If you mark words with a hashtag (#) in advance, all tweets that also contain this topic will appear for this word. This simplifies the search and creates connections.
- Other options are replying to a tweet or retweeting (literal quoting of a tweet). Another method of interaction is by favoring tweets.
How to Favorite Tweets
- You can recognize favorites on Twitter by an orange star. In this way, popular tweets are marked and can be found again more quickly by the respective user.
- If you favor a tweet, the star appears in the left corner of the tweet or below the tweet (only after clicking on the tweet).
- You can favorite all tweets in your timeline or on someone else's profile pages. You can only favor tweets from protected accounts if you follow them.
- If you move your mouse pointer over a tweet, the interaction options are shown in the upper right corner. Click once on “Favorite” next to the star and the tweet will be marked with an orange star.
- You can see your favorite tweets on your profile page. All your activities on Twitter are listed there on the left. Among other things, you will find the "Favorites" tab, which you can open by clicking on it. Here you can see all your favorite tweets.
- If you no longer want to favorite a tweet, simply go to the relevant tweet and click again on "Favorite" next to the star. Now the star turns black again and the tweet is no longer a favorite.
