Provide curtains with gliders instead of rolls
- In all houses there are curtain rods or rails on the ceiling in front of the windows. If these are removed, they leave holes in the walls. Over the years, the curtain rods, which were fixed to the wall using special brackets, became fashionable. Curtains can be pulled up through their loops on these curtain rods.
- However, many people do not want to part with their old curtain rails. For this reason, corresponding gliders were developed into which the curtain loops are pulled. One glider is required for each loop.
- The gliders are provided with small wheels at both ends and work just like the small rollers used earlier. This enables the curtains to be opened and closed smoothly.
- While the rolls used to have to be sewn onto the curtains in a laborious process, sometimes taking hours, this work can be done quickly with the aid of the gliders. Here the loop only needs to be pulled over a plastic bar and possibly locked.
- Depending on how wide the curtains are, you will of course also need a corresponding number of gliders. The information about the required number of pieces can be found on the outer packaging of the curtains.

Pull the curtains quickly on the curtain rail
- While it used to take ages to thread all the little rolls on the curtain rail, nowadays this is hardly a problem due to the use of the gliders. If you use standard curtains, you will need around 8 to 10 sliders per curtain. In the past, you could easily get four to five times the value for rolls, and that for each curtain.
- Of course, before you start hanging the curtains, you should put a stopper on the end of the curtain rail. This means that the blinds cannot slide down if they are pulled too hard.
