Raise cows in Minecraft

instagram viewer

In the open world game Minecraft, various animals such as wolves, chickens or cows spawn (appear) from time to time. Some of these leave behind important objects (if they are killed) that you need in the course of the game. The animals are passive mobs (opponents) and will not attack you on their own. If you need more cows and their items, you don't always have to spend a lot of time looking for the animals, you can also breed them yourself.

The advancement of Minecraft also makes animal breeding possible

  • In the first versions of Minecraft there were some animals, but they could only be killed. Since version 1.0.0 there are not only adult animals in Minecraft, but also young animals such as calves. As a result, the players can now also breed the animals themselves and thus obtain their raw materials much better.
  • The different animals are quite unintelligent and passive mobs, these spawn in certain places and, depending on the species, in larger groups. All animals are peaceful and will not attack you on their own, but they will fight back if you attack them. The cows are one of the most interesting animals in Minecraft, as they leave behind leather and raw beef when they die. You need both raw materials relatively often in Minecraft.
  • Since the cows appear very differently in the game world, you have to spend a lot of time searching and finding. You can get to the raw materials of these animals much faster if you simply keep and breed them. So you always have enough animals available.

How to breed cows in Minecraft

  • Cows spawn as a group of 4 to 12 animals and appear exclusively on a block of grass with a larger space (at least 1x1x2) above it. Find a larger area and completely fence it in. The entire floor should be made of grass.
  • To breed cows you need at least two adult animals in this area, until they spawn, you have to be patient. If two cows are in close proximity, they will approach each other on their own and a short time later will produce a young animal. If you have enough animals in your breeding, you will regularly receive young animals in Minecraft.
  • Catch sheep in Minecraft - this is how it works

In the open world game Minecraft there are numerous animals, for example cows, pigs ...

  • This process will repeat itself regularly and your herd will get bigger over time. You can then use the young animals of the cows for the important resources. The breeding area should be completely fenced in, otherwise the cows could run away or be killed by other mobs.

With our own animal breeding facility in Minecraft you can get a lot of important raw materials very quickly. Raising cows is particularly useful because these animals not only drop leather and raw meat, but also give an infinite amount of milk, which you need to make cakes.
