Change the payment method on eBay
On eBay you have the option of choosing between different payment methods. If you want to change your payment method, you can adjust this through your member profile.
If you have previously paid by bank transfer and now, as a new payment method, want to save your bank account in your eBay account, proceed as follows:
This is how you get into your member account on eBay
- Log into your eBay with your username and password profile on.
- Click on the "My eBay" tab and select the "Summary" entry from the drop-down list. You will be redirected to the "My eBay: Summary" page.
- Now select the tab "Member account" and click on the entry "Personal data" in the drop-down list that opens in order to change the settings there.
Change the payment method
- Scroll down the page to the entry "Payment Settings". Here you can see your saved payment method.
- Click on the "Edit" button to be able to change the payment settings.
- You now have the option of entering data for the direct debit procedure. Here you will be asked to enter the new account number to be stored twice. The name of the bank and the bank code must also be entered. Do not use hyphens or spaces when entering the account number.
- If you would like to buy and / or sell internationally, you also have the option of entering the IBAN and BIC (SWIFT) number of your bank further down on the page.
- By clicking on the "Next" button at the bottom of the page you will sign up for the agreement Direct debit forwarded, on which the agreements are displayed again and also can be printed out.
- By clicking the "Authorize bank account" button, you have changed your payment method for eBay.
