How to open AWD files

There are two different options here.

  • If you want to have the fax document in hand and have a printer with fax function, it is recommended to use the Microsoft At Work-PC-Fax-driver to install.
  • The big disadvantage: Because faxes are hardly ever used, this driver is only available on the completely outdated ones Windows 95 and Windows 98 CDs.
  • It is better to simply convert AWD files to a more common format. With the tool awd2tif you can make tiff graphics from your AWD files. Download the tool. You can then easily transfer the converted files with a tiff viewer to open. Download the viewer as well, install it and you can view your faxes.

As you can see, even complicated or outdated ones File formats can always be opened somehow and thus made usable.
