If the videos from MyVideo are not displayed, this is mostly due to the settings of the browser or the FlashPlayer, which you need to play the videos. The problem can be fixed quickly and easily.

You need the FlashPlayer so that the videos can also be displayed on the MyVideo music platform. Settings that allow ActiveX control are also required. Without this, it will not be possible to play the videos.

MyVideo requires FlashPlayer

  1. If videos cannot be displayed on MyVideo, check whether the version of your Flash Player is still up-to-date. Open the search bar under "Start" and enter "FlashPlayer" there.
  2. Now click on the Adobe icon and open the FlashPlayer. In the small window click on "Advanced". There you will find the version number of the FlashPlayer.
  3. Activate the item "Check for updates automatically" and click on "Check now". The FlashPlayer will now automatically check for available updates.
  4. When the process is complete, you can deactivate the automatic update again. Now close the window and open your browser. Now when you go to MyVideo you should see the videos again.

Adjust settings if videos are not displayed

  1. If the FlashPlayer is up-to-date and the MyVideo videos are still not displayed, check the settings of your browser. With Internet Explorer, in particular, ActiveX elements have to be permitted separately in some cases.
  2. Open the browser and select "Tools" in the menu. Here click on "Internet Options" at the bottom. Under "Security" select "Customize level".
  3. The following options must be activated here: ActiveX filtering, execute controls, execute scripting and execute Java applets. If this is not activated, activate it. Usually it is enough to set the security level from "high" to "medium" to get the videos displayed again.
  4. To ensure that the videos are played correctly, check in the add-ons, which you can find under "Extras", whether Shockwave is activated. If this is not the case, activate it.
  5. Now restart the browser and open the MyVideo website. The videos are now displayed again.
