Create a new user
- If you want to create a new user on Wordpress, for example to use him as an author, you must of course first log in with your password and username.
- The "User" tab is available in the left menu on the dashboard in Wordpress - provided, of course, that you have the appropriate administration rights. Select this menu item.
- Three further options open up. Click on "add".
- You can create a new user in the window that now opens. All you have to do is set a username, the e-mail-Enter the address of the new user and choose a temporary password. The password can of course be changed later by the user.
- Finally you have to assign a "role" to the new user. Wordpress describes various administration rights as roles. For example, a subscriber can only be his own profile manage, an editor, however, can post and edit articles. So think carefully about which role you would like to assign to your new user!
