Basically there is no limit to how many tabs you can open with a browser. Instead, the limits are elsewhere.

- The first limitation is your computer's memory. Because every open tab consumes computing power, as you can see in the processes of the Task Manager. The more tabs open, the slower your PC will be.
- Since memory is usually not a problem, you can open a few hundred tabs at the same time if you feel like it. This can only be problematic when saving the pages and the next restart - because then data has to be loaded, which can lead to delays.
- In addition to the remote limitation by the main memory, the resolution also plays a role. Because every open tab has a certain size. At about Google Chrome will eventually push you to the limit of your monitor.
- To solve this problem, all you have to do is increase the resolution. Because by shrinking the elements, the space available to Chrome is also expanded, allowing you to open more pages.
- Alternatively, you can work around this problem with browsers such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer or use a second browser directly. Because IE, for example, offers navigation in the form of arrows, which allows you to click through the opened pages.
In the end, this means that you have no limits when it comes to opening tabs. Only your main memory is stressed - and at some point it may be used up, which should, however, require a few hundred pages.
