Block a contact on Skype
With the help of Skype you can keep in touch with friends over long distances. If you don't feel like talking to certain people, you can easily block these contacts so you don't get called.
How to block a contact on Skype
If you do not want to receive messages or calls from another user, you can proceed as follows.
- Sign in to Skype with your username and password. Then select in the left column of the screen "contacts" the end. The list of your Skype contacts appears in the middle of the screen.
- Right click on the name of the person you want to block.
- At the very bottom of the list that opens you will find the option to block the contact. Click on this point with the left mouse button.
- In a window that opens, you have to confirm your wish to block the person in question. In the same field you can also tick the option "Report abuse" if you want to inform Skype about the unwanted contact.

Block and unblock contacts on Skype
There are other ways to block a contact. In this way, you can also reactivate people so that they can contact you again.
- Another possibility to block a contact is to select the item "Contacts" in the top menu bar and then the sub-item "Block contact". For this to work, you must first select the person in question in the contact list by clicking with the right mouse button.
- Also under the menu item "Contacts" you will find the sub-item "Manage blocked contacts". A window will now open in which you can select from all blocked contacts those you want to unblock again.
