There is a camera in every modern mobile phone, such as the iPhone. So you can take a snapshot anytime and anywhere. But many photos are still taken with normal digital cameras. Prepare Photos to Copy to iPhone (Windows)

  1. Around photos on the iPhone To copy it, you should put it in the “My Pictures” folder beforehand. To do this, first open the “My Pictures” folder on your computer. Note: You can find the "My Pictures" folder either directly in the start menu or in the "My Documents" folder. With newer Windows versions the folder is only called "Pictures".
  2. In the “My Pictures” folder you can now create a separate folder for each event (e.g. B. New Year's Eve 2009). Right-click in an empty area in the folder and in the menu that opens, click on "New" then "Folder". Enter a name for the folder and confirm your entry with the Enter key.
  3. Now move your photos to the appropriate folder that you created previously (e.g. B. all photos that you have from New Year's Eve 2009 in the folder “New Year's Eve 2009”). When you have sorted all the photos, you can close the “My Pictures” folder.

Prepare Photos to Copy to iPhone (Mac)

  1. If you want to copy your photos from a Mac to the iPhone, the easiest way is to sort the photos beforehand in the “iPhoto” software on the Mac. Note: iPhoto software is preinstalled on every Mac.
  2. Usually, photos that you copy to Mac using a digital camera are automatically loaded into iPhoto. If you would like to add more photos, click on "File" in the menu bar and then on "Import into the media library".

  4. A small window opens in which you can select individual photos or entire folders. Then click Import to copy the photos to your iPhoto gallery.
  5. You can then sort your photos into events (e.g. B. New Year's Eve 2009) to keep track of your memories. When you've sorted your photos in iPhoto, exit the program.

Copy photos to iPhone using iTunes

  1. Open the iTunes program.
  2. Connect your iPhone to your PC or Mac using the included USB cable.
  3. After a short while, your iPhone will appear in the left column of iTunes. Click on it to go to the detailed view of your iPhone.
  4. In the detail view, click on "Photos" in the upper area. Activate the check mark in front of "Sync photos from".
  5. Behind it, select the source with your photos. As a Windows user, select the “My Pictures” folder here; as a Mac user, you can select “iPhoto” here.
  6. Now you can choose below whether all photos should be copied from this folder to the iPhone, or alternatively individual folders / events.
  7. Once you've made your selections, click the Apply button in the lower right corner of iTunes. Your photos will then be copied to the iPhone and you can view them anytime, anywhere on your iPhone.
