Ideas for making a photo wall yourself

There are several ideas on how to design a photo wall yourself.

  • One way to make a photo wall is a large cork pin board. Use thumbtacks to attach the various photos to it. It is advisable not to arrange all the pictures neatly in rows with the same distance, but to hang pictures at an angle from time to time. The use of pictures of different sizes also makes the photo wall look more interesting.
  • Those who prefer to hang up the pictures in rows can do so with the help of a needle and thread. Pull the thread, which is a little longer than you want the photo wall to be, through the eye of the needle and poke the first photo from the front at the top edge. From behind you pierce the needle to the front at the bottom of the picture. Then pull so you can use the same needle to pierce the next photo. When you have reached the end of the row, remove the needle from the thread and pull a bead onto the lower end of the thread, which you fasten by means of a knot underneath. You can attach the top piece of thread to the wall with tape or a thumbtack. So you can make several rows of photos, which, hung next to each other, form a photo wall.
  • A simpler variant is to attach the photos directly to the wall with double-sided adhesive tape. You should leave little space between the images so that it looks as if they are in a frame. You can also arrange the images in a symbol or pattern, e.g. B. in the form of a chessboard, so always a picture length distance between two photos, and in the row below you always stick a photo on the wall where there is a gap in the upper row. You can also form a heart with the pictures. It is recommended that the images partially overlap, as this means that there are no difficulties in shaping the heart. Photos of different sizes can also be helpful and embellish the photo wall.
  • You can also attach the photos to a thin string, such as a bag, with colored clothespins. B. a clothesline, hang up. Different colored clotheslines are available in stores. You attach the cord to the sides with thumbtacks. So you can z. B. hang photos on a green clothesline with green clothespins. Then hang up more rows underneath. Here's how you can create a colorful or monochrome photo wall.
