Start tinkering the castle

If you want to tinker a medieval castle, you can also involve your children.

  1. Draw the sides of your castle wall on 4 A4 sheets of cardboard. Above all, the mostly rectangular battlements should not be missing from the wall.
  2. Then cut out the painted castle walls. Your children can help you with this.
  3. Next, you can embellish the elongated cardboard tubes. You can now stick brown cardboard around them or you can optionally paint them with brown paint.
  4. You can now draw 4 circles of the same size on red cardboard. The diameter of these circles should be approx. 3 to 5 cm larger than the diameter of the cardboard tubes. Cut out the circles and then cut each one once up to the middle. So you can shape the circles into small cones and glue them together.

  6. Now you can make little flags. To do this, you need to draw elongated rectangles on cardboard or paper and cut them out.
  7. Then glue the rectangles around a toothpick each.

Finishing the medieval castle

After you have made all the preparations, you can now put the medieval castle together.

  1. First glue the cardboard tubes to sturdy cardboard. The cardboard should be in the shape of a square. Glue a roll in each corner.
  2. You can then stick the red cones on the cardboard tubes so that they can be used as roofs.
  3. You can put the flags in the middle of the roofs.
  4. Now draw windows on the castle walls.
  5. You must also draw a castle gate on one of the castle walls and cut it out.
  6. Finally, glue the castle walls to the sides of the cardboard square and connect them to the towers at the same time.
