VIDEO: Use colorful font on Facebook

Facebook has made a few changes to its design in the meantime. You can now also have a say in something like your own with a picture banner profile should look like. There are also smilies in the news and on FacebookChat. But with the same black text color it is still not much fun to write with friends. Unfortunately, Facebook does not yet offer the option to change the font color for this. If you still want a colorful font, you can try two different methods.

Colored letters for Facebook chat and messages

If you would like to add some color to your chat or message texts, you can add colored letters.

1. Log in to Facebook as usual. Then you can open the chat or your messages and look for a conversation partner from your Facebook friends.
2. Then look for the appropriate codes given here for the individual letters that you need for your colorful texts. You should insert one letter at a time.
3. The codes for the letters are composed like this. 4. Select the code for the first letter with the left mouse button and click on it with the right mouse button. Choose Copy. Then click again with the right mouse button on the text field in which you want to insert the colored letters and select "Insert".
5. So the code is in your text field and you can copy and paste the next letter code in the same way. When your sentences are ready, click on the "Enter" button or the "Reply" button and send your message.

The codes are automatically converted into colorful letters when they are sent, so that your Facebook friend can read the colorful letters in full sentences. Here just pay attention to the spaces between the codes when a word is completed.

The software is called Social Plus! and is available for download free of charge. The program integrates into your Facebook and offers some additional functions.

1. First download the program. You will now find an .xpi file in your downloads that cannot be opened. So open your Internet-Browser (e.g. B. Firefox) and drag the .xpi file onto the browser window.
2. A software installation window will then open, asking whether you want to install the SocialPlus add-on. Confirm this with the "Install now" button. The program will then be installed in your browser.
3. After successful installation you will be informed in a smaller window that you have to restart your browser in order to activate the add-on. Click on the confirmation button or close your browser and reopen it.
4. Then log into Facebook. In the upper right corner, in the menu bar, you will now see your new “SocialPlus!”. From this point on, you have the option of entering a text color under the text field of your status messages, with which you can set a colored font.

Unfortunately, the colorful font only works with Facebook friends who use SocialPlus! use. All other friends are shown strings with which they can do little. So unfortunately there is currently no optimal solution to be able to write texts in colored letters on Facebook. Hopefully Facebook will also add this function at some point.
