Successfully remove head lice and nits
Again a lice alarm in kindergarten or school. Many parents know the problem. The feelings range from panic to unfounded shame when head lice or nits have lodged on the heads. However, lice are not the result of poor hygiene. Lice and nits are obviously most comfortable with sociable people.

- Head lice and nits on the head are still an evil that should not be underestimated, which translates into excessive itching makes noticeable.

The fight against nits
- You should consult a doctor immediately after the lice alarm. The doctor will prescribe or recommend appropriate means to combat it. In some regions, visiting a doctor is not mandatory for lice and nits. The children's institutions usually know about this and will inform you accordingly.
- Children up to the age of twelve receive these funds free of charge. A doctor's visit is particularly necessary for children with lice infestation. You will receive a doctor's certificate for your child to attend the children's facility.
- Obtain the prescribed remedy from the pharmacy as soon as possible and it is best to buy two lice combs. Pharmacies and drugstores also have head lice remedies available without a prescription and will provide you with comprehensive advice. One possible remedy is called Nyda and works very well.
- Most remedies are enough for two applications, one immediate treatment and a second treatment after nine to ten days. Follow the information on the package insert and do not forget to carry out the second treatment.
- The lice- and nit combs are needed to better remove the animals and their eggs. You will need the second comb for all other family members to comb through the hair.
- The doctor may recommend prophylactic use of the lice remedy. However, you have to pay for this yourself. Please clean the comb thoroughly every time.
- Also clean all clothes, bed linen and objects in the immediate vicinity of the child or the person who inadvertently gave the head lice a new home.
- Brushes, combs and your favorite cuddly toy can be stored in a plastic bag in the freezer for 24 hours after cleaning. All other cuddly toys must be kept in a well-sealed plastic bag for two weeks, unless your freezer is large enough.
This is the only way to effectively combat head lice and nits.
