As the successor to the Audi 80, the Audi A4 has been on the market for many years. In 2011 the vehicle got a facelift. The grille and headlights have been changed and the engine range has been revised.

The first model of the Audi A4 came on the market in 1972 as the B1 model. At that time the vehicle was called the Audi 80. Its design and equipment have been revised over and over again over the years. Since 1994 and the B5 model, the vehicle has been called the Audi A4. In 2007 the B8 was presented. This model got a facelift in 2011 with a simultaneous revision of the engines and the interior.

  • The Audi A4 B8 got a comprehensive facelift in 2011. The front of the vehicle has been redesigned, this affects the headlights and the radiator grille. New rear headlights were installed on the sedan.
  • The driver information system in the interior has been changed. This mainly applies to the gear display and information on fuel consumption. From this model year onwards, various tips on how to save fuel are displayed.

You have a choice of different engines

  • The Audi A4 will be delivered with different engines from model year 2011. Now the vehicle can also be ordered with the 3.0 TDI familiar from the A6. The smaller 2.0 diesel engine has been revised in terms of environmental friendliness and fuel consumption.
  • More than 80 percent of all A4 cars were registered with a diesel engine in 2004. However, you can of course also buy the vehicle with a petrol engine. The smallest has a displacement of 1.8 liters and gasoline direct injection. The output is either 160 or 180 hp. It is advantageous that all four-cylinders are equipped with a timing chain. This saves the annoying tooth belt change.

The vehicle is available as a sedan and a station wagon. The station wagon is called Avant and is particularly popular with families. If you are interested in the coupé, you have to look at the Audi A5. This is a two-door coupé based on the Audi A4.
