VIDEO: The dryer smells burnt
You may have noticed that the dryer at the dry smells burnt. Of course it can really be that something is stewing, but often there are very banal reasons that you can easily fix yourself. In any case, you should immediately look for the cause in order to prevent a possible fire.
What to do if the dryer smells
- If the dryer smells burnt, unplug it immediately and see if a cable is scorched. This can quickly lead to a cable fire. If so, you will need someone from customer service. In any case, the dryer must not be operated until the problem has been resolved.
- If the power cable is intact and you can rule out a scorching fire, the vacuum cleaner go to work.
- Slide the tumble dryer forward and vacuum the back well. Often there is a lot of dust behind the dryer or to the side, which smells burnt when the dryer gets hot.

- If the dryer is completely lint-free, you have at least removed one reason for a burnt odor.
