Again and again you can find musical notes on the Internet, e.g. B. in blogs, forums or the popular social community Facebook. You too can write the note mark in your status or in a comment.

Are you up a lot Facebook active, then you may occasionally come across the situation that you have to enter special characters such as the musical notes. Unfortunately, these cannot be found directly on the keyboard. Even so, it is very easy to do once you know what to do.

Enter a note symbol using keyboard shortcuts in Facebook

  1. Place the cursor where you want the note symbol to appear.
  2. Now press the "Alt" key and keep it pressed.
  3. Now enter the number 13 for ♪ or 14 for ♫ on the numeric keypad and then release the "Alt" key, whereupon the note symbol appears.
  4. If you work with a laptop without a separate number pad, you have to activate it first. To do this, press the function key ("FN") and "NumLK". The right part of the keyboard now functions as a number pad (the numbers are highlighted in color) and you can no longer enter any letters there.

Copy a musical note into Facebook via the clipboard

  1. Open the character table, a small utility program in your system that enables you to look at all the characters in the installed fonts.
  2. Find the special character (note symbol) you want to copy in one of the standard fonts, e.g. B. Arial out and select it.
  3. Now click on "Copy" or press the key combination CTRL + C. The note symbol is now on your clipboard.
  4. Go to Facebook and position the cursor where you want to insert the note symbol.
  5. Press the key combination CTRL + V or the right mouse button and select the "Paste" command from the context menu. With both methods, the note symbol appears.

As you can see, it's actually quite easy to put a note mark on Facebook. You can also easily copy and paste one of the notes from this text.
