Delete profile on Jappy
If you want to delete your profile on Jappy, you basically have two different options: Either you have your profile automatically deleted in certain cases or you request deletion with a few Clicks. In the latter case, your profile will be permanently and permanently deleted 24 hours after the request.
Have the profile deleted automatically
at Jappy there are different cases where your profile can be automatically deleted.
- If you have just registered with Jappy, you will receive an activation code via e-mail. If you do not enter this within 7 days, i.e. log in to Jappy for the first time, your profile will be automatically deleted.
- If you haven't been to Jappy for a long time, your profile may be deleted due to inactivity. But don't worry, if you have been inactive for 2 months, you will receive a reminder email. Another 2 months later you will receive a reminder e-mail, which also contains the information that your profile will be deleted if you do not log in soon. You will be informed of this again a week later. If you have ignored all the information and have been inactive for a total of 5 months, the profile will be permanently deleted.
- In addition, your profile could be deleted if you violated Jappy's terms of use. You then have 14 days to raise an objection or explain yourself. Your profile will then be permanently deleted. However, you should not use this route, because depending on the type of rule violation, this can also lead to civil or criminal law consequences.
- The easier way would be if you request the deletion of your account yourself.

Delete the Jappy profile yourself
The easiest and fastest method to delete your profile on Jappy is the manual deletion process, which you can do through your Jappy settings. The deletion cannot be undone, but you have 24 hours to complete the process.
- To delete your profile yourself, open your browser and go to the homepage of Jappy on.
- Enter your access data in the upper area and click on "Login".
- As soon as you have logged in, click on your user name at the top and then on "Settings".
- Your options for Jappy will then be loaded. Click on the "Data protection" tab and select the last point "Irretrievably delete profile".
- In the following window you will be informed that the profile will be irrevocably deleted. Click on Continue".
- To confirm the deletion, you must now enter the answer to your security question (for example your mother's maiden name) and your password. You can also optionally specify why you want to delete your profile.
- When you have entered everything, click on "Start deletion".
- Your profile will then be prepared for deletion and you will receive a confirmation email. You still have 24 hours to undo the deletion. There are two ways to do this: either you click on the link in the confirmation email, or you log into Jappy and go to your mailbox. There is also a link there to undo the deletion and you can see the remaining time.
