Transfer recorded videos from Mac to iPad using iTunes
Videos you have recorded yourself on the Mac cannot be easily moved to an iPad. In this case, the route via iTunes is always necessary, for which the video must first be brought into a compatible format.
What you need:
- Video converter (e.g. B. HandBrake)
- iTunes
Prepare recorded videos for the iPad
- With it self recorded Videos on the iPad they must be in the correct format. The safest way to drive is with H.264 encoded videos in MP4 format. This format is the most common video format for mobile devices and can be played without restrictions on the iPad. The iPad supports all resolutions up to Full HD (1920x1080 pixels).
- If you Video so not yet available as MP4, convert the file with a video converter. Here is recommended HandBrake as an open source solution, which can also be used on the Mac. Use h.264 as a codec and MP4 as the container format.
- The converted video can now be converted into iTunes Imported. Importing into iTunes is a prerequisite for copying to the iPad. Movies manually imported into iTunes appear in the sidebar under Movies, then My Videos.
Copy movies from Mac using iTunes
- Once you've connected iPad to your Mac and it shows up in the iTunes sidebar, select it, then switch to the Movies tab.
- Activate the film synchronization there by ticking the checkbox next to "Synchronize films".
- You now have the option of selecting the films and videos that you want to copy to the iPad in the window below. To do this, the checkbox for "Include automatically" must be deactivated.
- Then select the videos you recorded yourself from the list and finally click on "Apply".
- The films will now be copied from your Mac to the iPad and will then be available there under the "Videos" app.
