• The Trakehner breed is an exception. Here the name of the foal is based on the name of the mother. If you own a Trakehner stallion, you must use the first letter of the mother mare for his horse's name.
• If horse names appear several times, a number will be added to the horse name of your stallion. This says how many times this horse name you have chosen has already been given.
• If your stallion comes from a pure thoroughbred breed, you must put an XX after the horse's name.
• If you own a stallion of purely Arab origin, you must add an OX to the horse's name.

Choosing a suitable horse name

• Take a close look at your stallion, think about what peculiarities or characteristics, traits or abilities your stallion has. Since stallions are something very special and rather rare, you should choose a horse name for your stallion that has a deeper meaning that can be associated with the stallion.
• Think about choosing a horse name in another language, then the names will mostly sound nicer than in German.
• You can put together the horse name for your stallion from two or more words, this is usually even necessary for a deeper meaning.
• If your stallion is a talented jumper with great jumping ability, you can choose "Mighty Leap" as the horse name for him, which means something like "Mighty sentence".
• If your stallion is of a very large stature, but friendly to deal with, you can give him the horse name "Friendly Giant". Your stallion is a friendly giant.
• If you prefer z. B. the name "Prinz" for your stallion, you can refine this horse name by turning "Prinz" into "He's a prince". So your stallion will continue to be called Prince, but the written name sounds much more noble.
• The name "Dancer" sounds more noble than a stallion when you create a "Famous Dancer".
• But you can also depend on the color of your stallion, should he be shiny black fur choose "Black Velvet" or Shining Black "as the horse name.

Let your stallion inspire you when naming the horse. How you call your stallion afterwards, whether with the selected full name or just a part or completely different, is of course entirely up to you.
