The two gold rings for the wedding are best shown off on a wedding pillow. Before the rings find their way onto the ring fingers of the bride and groom, read in these instructions how you can make a simple ring pillow yourself.

What you need:

The cut of the ring pillow

  1. Lay the chosen fabric for the ring pillow twice on top of each other. The "left" side of the fabric - the side that will later be on the inside - should now be on the outside.
  2. Pin the two layers together with 4-5 pins.
  3. Make the cut for the ring pillow yourself. Use a pencil and ruler to draw the dimensions for the ring pillow on the fabric. We recommend the length and width dimensions of 15 cm each.
  4. Around these measurements, draw a second line 1cm apart around the square. The inner line indicates the later seam and pillow size. The outer line indicates the seam allowance.
  5. Cut out the two layers of fabric along the seam allowance.

  6. Leave the pins in place.
  7. Sew the sides shut with the sewing machine or by hand with a needle and thread.
  8. Leave an opening of 10 cm open on one side. The pillow will be filled through this opening later.
  9. Turn the inside of the pillow inside through the remaining opening.
  10. Stuff the pillow through the opening with cotton wool. To distribute the cotton wool in all corners, use a long pencil as a darning aid. Fill the pillow tightly, but not in such a way that the seams can burst.
  11. Sew up the remaining opening.

Almost ready for the wedding

  1. Determine where to tie the rings for the wedding.
  2. Mark the places with pins.
  3. Determine the respective center of the two decorative ribbons. Sew the center of the ribbon to the points marked with pins. The rings will later be attached to these straps.
  4. For decoration you can now attach the prepared decorative cord to the seam groove of the ring pillow.
  5. Tie the rings to the ring pillow with a pretty bow.
