Subject and object are parts of a sentence

Both subject and object are referred to as clauses. A sentence element is an independent sentence component that you can recognize by the fact that it is retained as a block when you make a changeover test.

  • The predicate is always in the second position within the sentence and is used to describe the action. Ask "What is the subject doing?" "What is happening to him?" To fully identify this element. Awards can also consist of several parts: "The prize was only awarded in the evening" (was awarded). - "The cat had secretly eaten the porridge" (had eaten it).
