DHL delivery: request a second delivery attempt

Sometimes you just don't have the time to go to the pick-up point to pick up a package that DHL couldn't deliver. It is therefore a great advantage to be able to request another delivery.

Missing a DHL delivery can result in inconvenience

  • It repeats itself again and again: You are only out of the house for a short time and at this very moment the DHL parcel delivery service rings to hand over the package you have already expected. It is not necessarily a big circumstance to go to the pick-up point for your next purchase in order to to receive the shipment there, if the distance to the next collection point is not too far away is.

If there is bad weather, little time or illness, the well-intentioned service of the DHL pick-up point is not acceptable for you. Requesting a second delivery would certainly be the simplest solution in such cases.

Take the more convenient route and request a second try

You can also use your collection card to request redelivery. However, if you do not want to or cannot leave your apartment, the website of the parcel service offers you the opportunity to do so online.

  1. Go to the delivery service's website DHL on.
  2. At the top left, touch the link "Package" with the mouse pointer in order to then select the item "Help & Customer Service" in the context menu that now appears.

  4. Now draw your attention to the navigation bar on the left and click on the "Contact" link.
  5. Open the clearly recognizable drop-down menu and look for the link "Second delivery order".
  6. Now scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will find another drop down menu. Here click on the option "Branch".
  7. Now fill out the displayed form completely using the notification card that you found in your mailbox.
  8. By clicking the "Send" button, you complete the commissioning of a new delivery attempt.
