- Polyacrylic is a so-called copolymer fiber, the main component of which is polyacrylonitrile. It is therefore a plastic fiber that can be used in many ways.
- As well in Germany as well as in the USA this fiber was developed in the year 1942 and it did so almost at the same time. It has been produced on a large scale by Bayer in Leverkusen since 1954.
The manufacture and use of acrylic
- Since the question of what polyacrylics actually is has already been answered, you should also know something about its production. The fiber can be made in two different techniques.
- On the one hand, this is the so-called dry spinning process and, on the other hand, the wet spinning process. In the dry spinning process, the required mass is.
