  • Metal detectors detect everything that is magnetizable or and is electrically conductive. So they also indicate when they come across a mineral that can conduct electricity.
  • Metal detectors create an electromagnetic field. If an object is introduced into this field that is itself magnetically or electrically conductive, this disrupts the field generated by the detector.
