From what percentage which grade?
The grading of grades in the school is not at the teacher's discretion, but is based on certain percentage specifications. In elementary school these change every year. Here you can find out how you can understand from what percentage of the performance which grade is awarded.

This shows how many students have achieved a one, a two, a three or a worse grade and what the class average is. This overview shows you where your child is. Which grade is given depends on the percentage of correct assignments
- The decision as to which grade your child gets in a work is not at the teacher's discretion. He has to analyze what percentage of the task was solved correctly. Then he can make the assessment.
- For a one, the task does not have to be solved 100 percent correctly. Small mistakes are allowed in elementary school. Sometimes 96 percent is necessary, in other federal states 92 percent is sufficient. As a rule, the percentage also depends on the subject.
- On average, you can count on a two between 80 and 90 percent, and a three between 70 and 80 percent of the work done. For a four, more than 50 percent correct solution is usually necessary.
This is how you find out what percentage your child needs
- Whether your child can get a one minus or a two plus depends on the percentage. Sometimes a percentage point decides whether the better grade can still be awarded or whether it is only enough for the poorer grade. Although this is actually of no relevance in elementary school, the teachers here already work with the plus or minus after the grade.
- Have the table handed over to you, from which you can see the percentage from which a grade can be awarded. You can then work out the result yourself using the points your child has received for each task. In the mathematics this is sometimes easier than in Germanwhere a subjective assessment by the teacher can always play a role, especially when it comes to the grading of essays or interpretations.
