This is how you correctly state the practice fee in your tax return

  • Practice fees represent extraordinary burdens according to Section 33 of the Income Tax Act. Practice fees are part of the medical expenses that can be deducted from taxes, provided they have not been reimbursed by the health insurance company.

  • The practice fees or however, the medical expenses only have a tax effect if you exceed your own reasonable burden. In concrete terms, this means that the less you earn and the more children you have, the lower your reasonable personal burden, so that the practice fees may have a tax-reducing effect.
