Cancel a flight with Easyjet
Since low-cost airlines calculate differently than scheduled airlines, you can expect normal transport from A to B, but you may have to do without a special service. This includes, in particular, how to deal with cancellations. With some airlines, such as Easyjet, you can only cancel a flight within 24 hours of making the booking, and not without extra fees.
Before you make a booking with an airline such as Easyjet, you should take note of the fact that the airline does not provide for reimbursement of air fares.
Cancellation of an Easyjet flight booking possible within 24 hours
The low-cost airline Easyjet excludes the cancellation of booked flights after a 24-hour period. The airline's regulations provide for this. There is no legal objection to this.
- There are only a few exceptions, those of the carrier's regulations and the respective ones Terms and Conditions for passengers and baggage are dependent. According to the terms and conditions (Article 6.6), one of the exceptions is that you can cancel your booking within 24 hours after the booking has been made.
- You must make such cancellations up to two hours before the actual departure date of the flight if they should still be processed as desired.
- In such a case of cancellation, you will be reimbursed the travel price minus a cancellation fee. The tour price includes fees for the English flight tax, transfer, luggage, speedy boarding and sports equipment.

- With Easyjet, the cancellation of a flight booking is only possible with a fee Call center possible. You will receive reimbursements to the bank or credit card account specified when booking.

The maximum amount that can be reimbursed is the flight price you have paid. This also applies if you are legitimately entitled to compensation from Easyjet (flight cancellation, flight delay).
- You will not receive an unused special offer again. You can only book a new flight at the current daily flight prices.
- If you simply change the booking instead of canceling it, you will not lose the value of the discount.
- Imagine you have booked a cheap flight of 40 euros with Easyjet, then you can save yourself the whole cancellation procedure. Because canceling costs you almost as much as you get reimbursed.
It is best to book very early if you find flights in the price range of cancellation fees on Easyjet. Even if you book several flights for around 30 or 40 euros, on different travel dates, you will not be disturbed by the low-cost airline's non-consumer-friendly cancellation policy.
