  1. If you want to lay needle felt as a floor covering, you should store the flooring where it is to be laid for about 48 hours so that it can acclimatise in the room.
  2. When this time is up, roll out the lengths you need and cut them off with about 30 cm allowance on both sides. You should only cut roughly into places such as pillars or other obstacles and only cut them to size after gluing (see point 8).
  3. Now turn the lengths back halfway. Make sure that the tracks do not shift.
  4. Now use a notched trowel to apply the adhesive evenly to the floor. Always work in the direction of the pulled back covering.

  5. Then place the strips in the adhesive bed. Make sure that you lay the seams straight butt joint. Needle felt has the advantage that the seams are practically invisible after installation.
  6. If the premises are large, where you may have to lay individual sheets, do this as follows: Lay the sheet to be laid a little over the sheet that has already been laid.
  7. Now make a double cut using a floor laying rail. This means that you cut through both coverings after you have laid the rail across the entire width of the web. Then remove the cut strips of the already laid covering and the covering to be laid. Now press the subsequent membrane directly onto the membrane that has already been laid. You will no longer be able to see a seam.
  8. The exact cutting of the needle felt can be done in stages so that you do not run the risk that the adhesive has not already set too much.
  9. Finally, you can attach finishing strips to your floor covering, which you equip with needle felt.
