How to use tube silicone
Silicone is available in small, usually white, slim tubes that are available for little money in any hardware store. Silicone from the tube is suitable for many applications and can be processed quickly and easily. You can use it to beautify corners and edges in the living area and smooth out transitions of various materials.
- A classic example is the application at the transition from the door frame to the wall. The processing is simple and does not require a great deal of technical knowledge, at most a little practice. When buying, you should pay attention to color and purpose. The silicone is used in wet rooms such as bathrooms or indoors or outdoors, for example for sealing windows.
- When you apply the silicone from the tube, you will find a long tip attached to the tube, which you first remove. Then insert the sealed tube into the "spray gun". These are simple frames that are inexpensive and have a long shelf life. The tubes can be inserted in just a few simple steps. Briefly press the handle several times and the device is ready for use. Before doing this, cut off the tip of the tube at the upper end and unscrew the long tip that was previously suspended.
- And here's a simple trick to keep in mind: Use a sharp knife to cut the long point at the top at an angle of about 30 to 40 degrees. That makes the work a lot easier. The deeper you cut the tip, the thicker or the amount of silicone that escapes becomes wider.
- The tool is now ready for use. Place the tip of the tube on one end and guide it to the other end in a slow, steady motion. You press the handle of the spray gun and apply the silicone. As I said, it takes a bit of practice and feeling, but it's not a problem.

One more tip at the end: After the application, the silicone can be smoothed out with a finger if necessary. Here, too, you work with gentle pressure and in a flowing movement. Dip your finger in a washing-up liquid beforehand so that the material does not stick.
