- Of course, the costs are also relatively high compared to above-ground installation. Nevertheless, underground rainwater tanks are a sensible investment that will pay for itself after a few years.
Which rainwater tank to install in your garden should be decided based on your personal needs and the local conditions. The above-ground installation of a water tank is probably the cheaper, more cost-effective variant that can be implemented quickly. The installation of an underground rainwater tank is more complex and expensive. In return, it offers significantly more capacity and can be lowered into the ground to save space.
