Keeping the changeover deadline - that's how it works in amateur football

  • In the meantime, the players in amateur football clubs can no longer only only during a specified period in summer, the summer break, change the club, as prescribed by the German Football Association (DFB) in the past, but also in the Winter break. The clubs can now also purchase players more often.
  • A change of club is only possible if the club the player is leaving also agrees to the change. There are no specifications for the amount of the transfer fee; negotiations are taking place here.
  • The following applies to the changeover period in summer: Register as an amateur football player by registered mail by June 30th. at midnight. The eligibility documents must then be submitted by the 30th August must have been received in full in order to be eligible to play immediately, otherwise the game will be suspended. The changeover period for winter ends on 31. December of the year.
  • Outside the change deadlines, a change of club will result in a ban. If necessary, speak to those responsible at your association to clarify whether they can accommodate you with the necessary dating. In principle, the clubs have a say in setting bans.
