Use a cistern pump correctly
When using the cistern pump, ensure that it is stable and fasten the pressure hose at the top of the cistern. Never lift a submersible pressure pump by the cable, always by the rope.
What you need:
- operation manual
Install the cistern pump correctly
- Rinse the cistern pump after it has been inserted and before using it for the first time to avoid damage, for example from sand.
- Attach the suction filter with check valve by attaching it to the cistern pump using a steel clamp and hose nozzle.
- It is important that the filter has enough hose left to swim freely.
Use the water transport device correctly
- When inserting the cistern pump, make sure that it cannot be twisted by switching it on and off, as this can lead to damage.
- Then connect the pump suction side with the suction hose. This can be done using clamps. If you are using a plastic pipe, insert a piece of suction hose between the cistern pump and the pipe to reduce noise.
- To seal the hose, wrap three to four layers of Teflon tape around the hose nozzle.
- After the suction and pressure lines have been installed, they and the cistern pump are filled with water and thus vented. To do this, remove the suction strainer from the non-return valve and use a water hose to press fresh water into the suction line. The check valve must not be removed, otherwise the water will run out of the suction line again.
- You can only interrupt the water supply when there is no more air in the system.
- Make a note of the displayed pressure and check the following day whether it has remained constant to make sure that the cistern pump is working properly.
