  • The participation certificate is the "worst" of the certificates and is awarded for participation in the competition.
  • The winning certificate is awarded to good athletes who have achieved a certain number of points.
  • The certificate of honor is given to particularly good athletes with a high number of points.

The awarding of points at the Federal Youth Games is only at first glance ...

The awarding of points - this is how the certificates are calculated

  • For the national youth games there are competition tickets that are separated according to gender. The data of each participant is noted on these competition cards. In addition, the individual competition disciplines are on the cards and there are various results that can be achieved on them.
  • For example, when throwing long distances, each throw is assigned a distance and, associated with it, a certain number of points. An example from a competition card for girls: If a participant reaches 2.45 meters in the long jump, a score of 226 is noted for her. On the other hand, if she reaches 5.01 meters, she gets 550 points.
  • Using a Point formula the final results of the individual participants are then calculated.
  • The three certificates are awarded according to the following principle: On the basis of one Score table the individual services are read off. Here, girls and boys as well as age groups are separated. An example of this: A 10 year old boy must achieve 775 points for a certificate of honor and 600 points for a certificate of victory. All points below mean that the participant only receives one participation certificate.
