Listen to WDR live stream
Thanks to the Internet, you can now receive all sorts of radio stations, including those from WDR, online via live stream, anywhere and anytime. You don't even have to install a special player, because receiving is also very easy with the iTunes player.
What you need:
- Computer with internet access
- installed version of iTunes
How to receive WDR online as a live stream
- Enter the address of the WDR homepage a. In the top line you will see a number of options, including the “Radio” option. Click on this menu item.
- In the third column you will now see a box with the title "Webradio". The streams of all radio stations of the WDR can easily be listened to live via Flashplayer, select the first option in this box called "All streams in one player (Flash)". However, if you have not installed a Flash player or simply the iTunes player choose the second available option, “Our web radio for everyone who doesn't have Flash to use.".
- On the page that opens you will then find a list of all WDR radio stations that you can receive live via stream. Select your preferred station from there and click on the name of this station.
- A dialog box opens asking whether you want to open or save the stream. Select the item "Open with" and select "Other ..." in the adjacent drop-down menu. You will now see a list of all programs installed on your computer which could theoretically open this stream.
- Select iTunes and click OK. Another mouse click on "Ok" leads to a short waiting time and then to the opening of the WDR live stream with your version of iTunes.
