Make soap bubbles yourself - the basic recipe

To make soap bubbles yourself, you don't need many ingredients and the mixture is made quickly:

  1. Grate the green soap with a kitchen grater and dissolve the flakes in the warm water.
  2. Add the glycerine (this gives the soap bubbles firmness) and gently stir the soapy water. Your soap bubble liquid is ready.

A soap bubble without glycerine

Granted, glycerin is something you probably won't always have at home. But even without glycerine, you can make a soap bubble yourself by simply replacing the glycerine. These substances have a firming effect on the soap bubbles:

  • Replace glycerin with powdered sugar. To achieve good firmness, you should calculate 4-6 tablespoons of powdered sugar per liter of water.
  • Soap bubble - recipe for the optimal mixture

Soap bubbles are especially popular with children. However, you don't always have to ...

  • It is also possible to replace glycerine with corn syrup.
  • Soap bubbles with wallpaper paste are bombproof. Instead of glycerin, stir 2-3 tablespoons of wallpaper paste into the soap bubble water.
  • Shampoo containing glycerine can also be used very well - because, as the name suggests, the mooring ropes are already included.

In principle, you can also omit glycerine completely without replacing it. The soap bubbles just don't last that long.

Which soap for homemade soap bubbles?

Of course, you can also use other soap products than the green soap to make homemade soap bubbles. Pretty much all soap-based products are suitable for this, just take a look at what you have in your closet:

  • Use neutral soap to make the liquid.
  • Soap bubbles also work very well with standard washing-up liquid.
  • You can also use shower baths, but shower baths containing cream do not work as well.
