Many are mistaken that they generally have a right of withdrawal. However, this is not true. There are fixed conditions that must be met for this.

  • You can only exercise the right of withdrawal for 14 days for your telephone contract if you have concluded this contract in accordance with the Distance Selling Act. For you this means: If the contract was concluded personally in the shop, you have no right of withdrawal.
  • On the other hand, if you conclude the telephone contract via the Internet, telephone or through what is known as a "door-to-door sales", you can make use of the right. But be careful: If you have purchased a discounted device, the revocation also applies to it.
  • Important for you: The period of 14 days begins at the earliest when you have been informed in writing of your right of withdrawal. If the information is only given months after the conclusion of the contract, you have the right to withdraw from the contract up to 14 days after receipt.

  • Generally only make use of your right of withdrawal in writing. Communication by fax with confirmation of sending or by post as registered mail is particularly suitable. In this way you can prove that you have sent the revocation on time.
