Are you renting an apartment and want a cat? In any case, submit a written application to your landlord to keep cats so that your tenancy remains relaxed.
There is now a great deal of confusion about the law governing keeping cats in an apartment. Damage from keeping cats
- It goes without saying that pets need to be educated, including cats. If you have decided to keep cats, you have to expect that an existing floor or wall covering may be damaged.
- The costs of this damage are to be borne by you when moving out. You have a good chance that your application will be approved by the landlord if you make a note of this when submitting the application.
- However, you can avoid damage to the apartment by opting for an older cat and also providing enough material for the cat to do with it.
