Use ultrasound to clean your glasses
Anyone who wears glasses knows how uncomfortably dirty glasses are. At the optician's, the glasses are usually cleaned with ultrasound. With the right device, you can achieve the same result at home.

After cleaning with ultrasound (as with an optician), glasses are somehow always cleaner than if they are cleaned by hand. But you can also clean your glasses this way at home.
Basic information on cleaning glasses
- Glasses, especially those with plastic lenses, are extremely susceptible to scratch.
- Anti-reflective or coated glasses tend to scratch quickly.
- Materials such as kitchen paper, paper towels or T-shirts are not suitable for cleaning glasses.
- Wet glasses cleaning cloths are also unsuitable.
- Moisturizing cleaning agents are not advisable for cleaning as they can leave a film of streaks on the glasses.
- Clean your glasses with lukewarm water with a few drops of washing-up liquid.

- In the case of plastic glasses, you should ask your optician beforehand whether the glasses can be cleaned with ultrasound.

How to use the ultrasound device
- Note that your device actually generates ultrasound and does not simulate the effect by shaking it back and forth.
- Pour lukewarm water up to the specified filling level into your device.
- Add a few drops of commercially available washing-up liquid (not moisturizing) to the water.
- Fold in the temples of your glasses and place the glasses with the iron down into the device.
- Avoid placing the glasses on the glasses, otherwise scratches may result from the movements.
- Turn on the ultrasound machine and let it run through a complete cleaning cycle.
- Avoid reaching into the device during cleaning.
- After cleaning, place your glasses on a soft, absorbent cloth to drain them.
- Remove excess residual moisture with a soft and clean glasses cleaning cloth.
With the correct use of the ultrasound device and cleaning utensils, nothing should stand in the way of completely cleaned glasses.
