Make normal modeling clay with alum yourself

1. Put 400 g flour, 200 g salt and 2 tablespoons alum powder in the mixing bowl.
2. Bring 0.5 liters of water to a boil in a saucepan on the hob. Then add 3 tablespoons of oil and 1 tablespoon of food coloring to the boiling water.
3. Add the colored water to the remaining ingredients in the mixing bowl. Mix the mixture with a wooden spoon.
4. Knead the mass until you get a nice dough. Let the mixture cool down a little before kneading so that you don't get scalded.

5. If the putty is too dry, you can add a little OIL to make it more pliable. Keep the clay in an airtight box, keep it approx. 3-6 months.

Children's dough with tartar powder

1. Put 300 g flour, 450 ml water and 250 g salt in a non-stick pan.
2. Also add 2 teaspoons of tartar powder. You can get this in health food stores, health food stores or pharmacies.
3. Finally add 2 tablespoons of oil and 1 tablespoon of food coloring.
4. Mix all the ingredients together until a mushy mass is formed. Don't use metal spoons or stirrers or you will scratch your pan.
5. Now heat the porridge very slowly in the pan. Little by little, a lump of putty is formed. Make sure that the ingredients are always well mixed together, otherwise your putty will end up slippery or soft.
6. As soon as you have a nice lump of clay in the pan, turn the stove off again and let the clay cool down.

If you want to give your clay an even more pleasant scent, you can simply mix in some gelatine with a fruit component.
