The service of sending credit from one cell phone to another is currently (as of July 2012) not yet offered by all providers. Vodafone is making the start with "CallNow-Transfer".

  1. If you are a Vodafone CallYa customer and know someone who has CallYa himself or who has a term contract with Vodafone, you can get credit from them by calling the CallYa account server free of charge at 22922 and sending a transfer request to this person (mobile phone number).
  2. This person then receives your request via SMS and has to call 22922 again. There she has to select the item “CallNow Transfer Requests” in the menu so that she can send you a credit of between € 3.50 and € 10.
  3. You will then receive the credit immediately on your card, which you will find out by SMS. However, Vodafone withholds 30 cents from this credit as a "service price" for the transfer.

How to send money online

You can send credit to almost any cell phone online.

  1. On the website aufladen.de or direktaufladen.de you can choose the mobile phone provider to which the credit should be sent. Then select the amount and enter the mobile number to which you want to send the money.
  2. Then you choose the way you want to pay for the order and usually give at the end Your name and email address so that you can receive everything you need to place your order can.
  3. After your order is complete, you will receive an email that you can send to the person who needs the credit. It contains a 16-digit code that is entered as usual via the service number of the mobile phone provider. This is confirmed and the credit is available.

There is also this possibility

  • If you use online banking, you can usually find a link in the service area with, for example, “Top up your mobile phone”. There you can enter a mobile phone number, select the corresponding mobile phone provider and pay the credit via your account. This will be credited immediately.
  • Of course, you can also just use a normal card to top up your credit in the supermarket or on Buy a kiosk and send the 16-digit code via SMS to the person who urgently needs the credit needed. That person can then charge their cell phone with it.

Sending credit to someone is possible in any case. Just use the route that works best for you.
