The construction of the mailbox

You can have the wood for the mailbox cut to size at the hardware store or you can cut it yourself at home.

  4. When you've cut everything out, nail the side, front, and back panels to the bottom panel. In order to make the construction more stable, you can also attach the front and rear walls inside to the base plate using a fixed metal bracket.
  5. You screw the flap of the mailbox with two hinges from the inside to the rear wall.

Make the wood weatherproof

So that the wood can withstand a downpour, you should impregnate it:

  1. To do this, spread the impregnating agent over the entire area of ​​the wooden mailbox and then let it dry in the open air.
