How to make paste yourself

  1. Pour the flour, starch and sugar into a clean jam or pickle jar and screw the jar on. Then shake vigorously for a while so that all ingredients mix well together.
  2. Now add the cup of hot water and close the glass again. But be careful! The jar is hot, so it is best to wrap the closed jar in a towel and then shake it. If the paste is not yet of the right consistency, the homemade paste can be further thickened by adding starch.
  3. The paste is almost ready now. It just needs to cool down. Before the paste is used, it must be shaken again.
  4. The finished paste should now be stored in the refrigerator. So it lasts for a good 2 weeks.
