Battlefield 3: full screen does not work
Are you loaded because the full screen mode in Battlefield 3 just doesn't work? Whenever you try to activate it, does the game crash or simply not respond? It's not that dramatic, basically there is a simple solution. What you have to do if the full screen mode does not work, read here.
What problems with Battlefield 3 could be
- First of all, you should make sure that you have actually saved the fullscreen mode when you switch. If it doesn't, this is arguably the easiest bug to fix. Select the full screen mode and go to the "Fullscreen Resolution etc." button to make the setting is taken over, but then nothing happens, it is actually not up to you, but a mistake in the system.
- Nevertheless, try to restore full screen mode with Alt + Enter as soon as Battlefield in the Windows Mode changes. If this works in the long run, it shouldn't be a more serious problem. If that doesn't work, or at least not for more than 2 minutes, something is completely wrong.
- If the full screen mode still does not work, then try the following as well: Go to settings.ini - you should find it under C: \ User \... \ Documents \ MyGames. If a point "fullscreen = false" or "fulscreen = 0" can be made out there, just change the whole thing and set it to true or to 1. If such a point cannot be found, or if that does not work either, then the actual proposed solutions can now be dealt with
Suggested solutions if the full screen still does not work
- It may be possible that your problem with Battlefield 3 and full screen is simply with the firewall. So check whether your firewall or, for example, Antivir and Spybot SnD are displaying messages through pop-ups during normal operation. If this is the case, simply go to the relevant options and deactivate this setting.
- If that doesn't help you with the full screen either, try deleting the entire Settings folder from Battlefield 3. As soon as you start the game again, it will re-create itself. Now set all the desired settings again, because they were logically deleted with the deletion. The full screen should now work, it doesn't work, there is another chance.
- You should definitely get the latest graphics driver for playing in full screen mode and set the native resolution, so the maximum yours screen can represent at all. Then close all possible remote maintenance software such as Teamviewer, FastViewer or NetViewer, activate the full screen in the graphics settings and hope that it will finally work.
