Fragrances from the garden
If you want your apartment to smell particularly good, for example, you can place small herbal sachets in the apartment. You can easily make these bags yourself.
What you need:
- Cotton fabric
- cardboard
- chalk
- scissors
- Sewing machine or
- Sewing thread and needle
- dried herbs e.g. B. Rosemary, mint, thyme, lemon balm or sage
Sew a sack
In order to be able to make a herbal sachet, you must first sew a sachet made of cotton fabric.
- First cut out a rectangle from a piece of cardboard. You should carefully record this with the help of a ruler.
- Now place the rectangle on a cotton fabric of your choice and draw the outlines with sewing chalk.
- Then repeat the last step again so that you have two rectangles of the same size for your sachet.
- Now cut out the two drawn rectangles very carefully with sharp scissors.
- Then lay the two rectangles on top of each other, left sides facing.
- Now you can sew the rectangles together with the sewing machine or by hand. However, one of the shorter sides must remain open.
- Now turn the bag inside out so that you can fill it with any herbs.

Fill the bag with herbs
You need dried herbs so that you can turn the self-sewn bag into a scented bag. It is important that these are dried so that no mold develops.
- Which herbs you fill the bag with depends entirely on your preferences. For example, you can dry mint or rosemary and then put each of these ingredients in a sachet.
- However, you can also make mixtures of different herbs to create a special fragrance. For example, make a mixture of sage, lemon balm and thyme.
- After choosing the right herbs, you can put them in the bag.
- Finally, put a ribbon around the opened side of the bag and tie it up.
