eBay is one of the largest and most famous online marketplaces. That is why it is worthwhile to place a classified ad on eBay: it is sure to be seen by many interested parties. But how exactly do you place classifieds on eBay? Read that below.
How to place classified ads on eBay
- First go to the Home page from eBay Classifieds.
- A pop-up opens in which you have to choose whether you want to search or advertise nationwide or regionally. Simply click on the desired region or on "Search or offer throughout Germany".
- You will then be taken to a page that will show you ads for your region. Above that you will find a button that says "Place an ad". Click on this button.
- A new page will appear with a menu on the left. From this menu you have to select your category. Click on the desired category and, if necessary, a sub-category, then click on the blue "Next" button at the bottom right.
- You will now be taken to a page titled "General information about your ad". Here you first have to provide a few details and choose a title for your ad. Decide on a title that is as descriptive as possible and that contains the most important information about your offer or request.
- Then you can post your ad pictures Add. If you want to do this, click the "Browse" button. You can then upload up to twelve images from your hard drive. Ads with pictures are considered more serious and therefore more successful.
- Next, describe your concern in a short body of text, then state yours e-mail-Address and click on "Post Ad" or "Preview". It's a good idea to preview your ad and correct any errors. Then you can publish the offer or request with one last click and your eBay classified ad is ready.
