Activate the ad blocker at Clipfish

The ad blocker is available as an add-on for the Internet browser Firefox. Since Clipfish displays advertising, you can switch it off using the ad blocker.

The ad blocker blocks advertising that is displayed on websites. To be able to use this for Clipfish, you need the add-on, which can be installed in Firefox free of charge.

Install ad blocker in Firefox

  1. Open Firefox. Click on "Firefox" in the top left and select "Add-ons" from the menu bar. Now click on "Find add-ons". At the top right you can search for add-ons, enter "Adblock".
  2. Select "Addblock Plus" (usually comes first) and click "Install". After the add-on has been downloaded, you will need to restart Firefox to activate it.

Set the ad blocker for Clipfish

  1. After installing the ad blocker, open the Clipfish page and select a video to watch.
  2. As soon as the video has started, you have the option to hide the advertisements using "Block". If you click "Block", the Adblocker menu opens. There you set the filter rule for Clipfish.

  3. Since you want to watch videos and not block them, select "Exception rule" in the filter setting and click on "Add filter" at the bottom. The window is closed and you can watch videos via Clipfish despite the ad blocker.
  4. If it is still no longer possible to watch videos via Clipfish, you can deactivate the ad blocker via the Firefox menu. To do this, click on "Add-ons" and then on "Extensions". There you deactivate the ad blocker.

Occasionally, when playing videos on Clipfish, the message that the adblocker must be deactivated in order to use the Video to reproduce. You can deactivate the ad blocker for the time you are using Clipfish and then reactivate it.
