Cut an equipment cabinet out of wood

If you follow the building instructions below, it shouldn't be too difficult for you to make a wooden tool cabinet for your garden.

  1. After you have drawn up a small blueprint for your wooden equipment cabinet for the garden, you should first cut the two wooden side panels. You can take the dimensions completely from your small construction plan. When the side panels have been cut, drill four holes in the upper and lower narrow sides of your side panels at a distance of 1 cm from the top and bottom edges.
  2. When that's done, you can cut the top and bottom plates for your wooden equipment locker for the garden. These two plates are then screwed between the side panels. Now you still need the back wall and the door.
  3. So take your jigsaw again and cut out both panels. Before you can now assemble the wooden equipment cabinet in the garden, you should lightly sand all cut surfaces again with sandpaper.

Set up the locker in the garden

  1. You start assembling your equipment cabinet for the garden by screwing the head plate and the base plate between the side parts of your equipment cabinet made of wood. Then screw the back and attach the screw hinges inside your cabinet. In other words, screw the screw hinge at a distance of 10 cm from the upper edge and the lower edge on the right inner side wall.
  2. Build a wall unit for the kitchen yourself

There are people who simply build their own kitchen equipment. That is …

  3. Then attach the wooden door to the free legs of the screw hinge. After you have attached the door bolt and the door handle, you should only screw the four small wooden feet under your equipment cabinet and the work would actually be done.
  4. You have, of course, bought your feet beforehand at your trusted hardware store. However, since your wooden equipment cabinet is to be set up in the garden, it would be good if you impregnate all of the wood. So paint your equipment cabinet with a special impregnation agent and then your wooden equipment cabinet is ready.

Before you screw in the wood screws, you should coat the threads with a little wood glue.
