Anyone who spontaneously needs a cheap ticket for the train on weekdays with which they can get across Germany can drive, the "Quer-durch-Land-Ticket" is well advised. For a surcharge, up to five people can travel on the ticket, almost like a weekend ticket.

The cross-country ticket

  • With this offer you can make as many journeys as you like on regional trains from 9 a.m. on weekdays and from midnight on public holidays. Of course, you can only use the second class. The ticket is valid until 3 a.m. the following day.

  • The price for one person is 42 euros. However, you can take up to four passengers with you. For each additional person the ticket price increases by 6 euros. The maximum price is therefore 66 euros for five people.
